I live about 6,500 feet above sea level and that makes a big differences where you live. I installed a short ram intake and a high flow exhaust and my civic ran like shit. it would jump and surge and some times the engine would die when i stopped. after I installed the JDM it ran great! I raced a BMW m3 and i did not win but it was very close. Not to bad for a civic.

driving easy, tailgate down & A.C. off, finally got 18/22 stock mpg. w/K&N a.f. & Magnaflow exh. ran like scalded ape when I nailed it, mpg dropped way down, so unplugged it, to delete all data. plugged in to reprogram. PRIMO !

Impressed! Only criticism is the length of the cable and the size of the unit. Increased power and eliminated flat spots. Will check out the economy next week :)

I received product on 2/14/2014. Hooked up the product to the OBD connection. Tested the product for 5 days now and my car is performing better, better acceleration, seems to have more torque and horse power. I would reccomend this product. The only draw back and it is nothing to worry about, is the long wire connected. I tie wrap the wire and chip to a wire harness under the steering column to keep item out of the way.

01 Grand Marquis and i was looking to add more power after installing my intake and exhaust...After doing some performance runs and fuel types, recording the data with an elm 5 scan tool, then exporting the data to excel and graphing it I noticed a few interesting things. 1: The premium fuel tune (fuel only, shift points/firmness left stock) cuts 0.4 seconds off the 0-60 time, taking it from 8.8 seconds to 8.4. The takeoffs are still meh and the power increase isn't noticeable until about 40 mph. 2: The reg fuel canned tune (WOT shifts are firmed up, 1-2 shift point goes from 4800 RPM to 5100 RPM) adds no power. The only performance improvement comes in the firmed up shifting and modified shift points and it only cuts 0.1 - 0.2 seconds off 0-60. So is it worth it? For the price i'd think so, cause you have to spent 2x to get another product for my model.

As far as performance goes, I definitely noticed a quicker throttle response and a little better acceleration.
